Dr. Şule Oygür

BIOGRAPHY


Dr. Şule Oygür has recently retired from the Newark Museum and joined Seton Hall University as an adjunct professor.

She was born in Diyarbakır, Turkey. Dr. Oygür received her B.S. degree from University of Ankara, and M.S. degree from Hacettepe University, in Ankara, Turkey.

She received her Ph.D. degree from Rutgers University, Department of Entomology. After graduating from Rutgers University, she accepted a position at the American Museum of Natural History, Department of Entomology, in New York City, New York. Dr. Oygür conducted research and managed a portion of the immense insect collection at the Museum for eight years.

In 1997, Dr. Oygür joined the Newark Museum as a Science Curator. After fifteen (15) years with Newark Museum, she retired and accepted an adjunct professor position at Seton Hall University, Department of Biology.
